Little Charlotte’s tale is a remarkable one of perseverance and optimism, as she was found in a cement canister by the side of a road, left for dead. Thankfully, the UPA was contacted in time to rescue her from her desperate situation – she had been stuck there for days, unable to move or escape. Quivering and crying, the poor pup had sought refuge inside the can to shelter from the rain.
Even though Charlotte was facing difficult circumstances, she had a resilient spirit and a glimmer of hope in her eyes. Following her rescue, medical tests revealed that she was anaemic and affected by a tick condition. Additionally, she was dehydrated and had low blood levels. Despite these challenges, Charlotte maintained a healthy appetite and displayed a determined attitude to overcome her illness and survive.
The UPA team chose the name Charlotte for her, and she easily won the hearts of those who crossed paths with her. Her affectionate and kind nature impressed everyone she encountered, and she soon became a beacon of optimism and fortitude.
Thanks to the team’s tireless efforts and unwavering dedication, Charlotte experienced a remarkable improvement in her health. She eventually got the green light to go back home, though she continued to receive treatment. Her newfound confidence allowed her to freely roam and mingle with other canines at the centre.
Exciting news arrived when Charlotte received a brand new wheelchair. This enabled her to finally participate in activities with her pals – something she had never experienced before. The transformation in her was incredible, and she seemed to have found her rightful place.
