Canines have long been considered as humans’ closest companions, but what about infants? Ivette Ivens, a 25-year-old mother from Chicago, discovered a French bulldog puppy that was born on the same day as her son Dilan and interpreted it as a sign. She shared with the Daily Mail, “I saw Farley’s birth date and just knew it’s meant to be.” The little bulldog pup named Farley has been part of the household for around five months and has been shadowing baby Dilan since then. According to Ivens, “I’m pretty sure Dilan thinks they’re both the same species, as they walk at the same level and are both going through the stage of chewing on everything.” Ivens, who is well-known for her family photography and breastfeeding photos, recently exhibited her “I breastfeed my toddler” series in Chicago, and she will be releasing her photo-book called Breastfeeding Goddess later this year.
“I have a hunch that Dilan believes that both of them belong to the same category.”
Farley patiently enjoys playtime with his companion and does his best to avoid snoring during their shared nap time.
Honestly, there’s no greater bond than the one that’s filled with love – it’s genuine, undemanding, unparalleled, and unbreakable.
Farley can be quite docile and awkward occasionally – we must keep in mind that he is still a youngling.
It’s amazing how my baby Dilan is always calm and content, but he seems to get exceptionally amused when he’s around Farley. It warms my heart to witness the happy moments they share together.
After Dilan finishes eating, this furry friend helps with the clean-up and even adds a little comfort. Whenever Dilan is upset and shedding tears, this loyal companion comes to the rescue by giving some gentle licks on the neck, which turns those tears into laughter.
In addition, Dilan relishes moments of togetherness with his other family members.
